What owners report

Most praised
  • The wide lens area keeps sawdust and small chips out of the corners of vision
  • Rubber temple tips stop the frame creeping forward during overhead drilling
  • Owners keep a pair in the truck and another on the bench because replacements are painless
Common complaints
  • Fogging appears when moving between cold outdoor air and a heated workshop
  • The chunky frame presses on the ears during very long shifts
  • Smudges show quickly on the big clear lens and need frequent wiping

What owners report

Most praised
  • The nose pad adjustment ends the constant slide-down that plagued fixed frames
  • Fog resistance holds through a long shift in a humid workshop
  • Clear optics suit detailed inspection work where tint would hide flaws
Common complaints
  • Side gaps still admit dust on grinding jobs, so owners pair them with a face shield there
  • Temple adjustment needs re-tightening after weeks of daily wear
  • The coating shows cleaning marks if wiped with a dry rag

Our recommendation

Choose the job, not the brand. The DEWALT Dominator is the tougher, simpler pair for rough general work where the glasses get knocked and stored hard. The NoCry EyeArmor+ is the better indoor pair where fog and fit decide whether the glasses stay on at all. If your work is humid, detailed or all-day indoors, take the NoCry. If it is rough, outdoor and general, take the DEWALT. Many buyers end up owning both, since each covers the other's weakness at a modest tier.

Frame and toughness

The Dominator's full frame protects the lens edge and survives tool bag life better than the EyeArmor+'s lighter wraparound shape. The EyeArmor+ trades some of that ruggedness for adjustability, with temples and a nose pad that tune the fit to the face. Rough handling favours the DEWALT; long, careful wear favours the NoCry.

Fog and coating

This is the clearest difference. The EyeArmor+ carries a maker-stated anti-fog and anti-scratch coating, while no anti-fog coating is stated for the Dominator clear. In humid rooms and cold-to-warm moves, the NoCry stays clear longer and recovers faster. The Dominator's uncoated lens needs more wiping in the same conditions.

Fit behaviour

The Dominator relies on rubber grip points to stay put, which works well for most faces but cannot be tuned. The EyeArmor+ can be adjusted at the temples and nose, which helps narrow and wide faces alike and stops the slide-down that fixed frames suffer on sweaty skin. Fit-sensitive buyers should weigh the NoCry first.

Choose DEWALT Dominator DPG94-1D Safety Glasses if…

  • Rough general work where the glasses take knocks
  • A simple frame with nothing to adjust or loosen
  • Outdoor and site work in dry conditions
  • A low-tier spare that is easy to replace

Choose NoCry EyeArmor+ Clear Anti-Fog Glasses if…

  • Humid indoor work where fog is the main enemy
  • All-day wear where fit adjustment matters
  • Detailed inspection work needing clear, undistorted optics
  • Faces that fixed frames never quite fit

Questions, answered

Which one is better for grinding?

Neither is ideal for heavy grinding alone, since both are open pairs. The Dominator's tougher frame handles the environment better, but a sealed goggle or a gasket pair plus a face shield is the safer grinding setup. For light grinding, either pair works, with the NoCry winning on fog.

Can I own both?

Yes, and many buyers do: the Dominator for rough outdoor and general work, the EyeArmor+ for humid indoor days. At their tiers, two pairs cost less than one premium pair and cover far more conditions.
