Robot Mops

A robot mop is not a vacuum with a damp cloth dragged behind it, even though plenty of early combo machines were exactly that. The machines worth buying in 2027 scrub: spinning pads that rotate under pressure, a vibrating pad that agitates dried spills, or a roller that is washed continuously while it works. The difference shows up on the first dried coffee ring and the first muddy paw print, which a passive drag mop smears and a real scrubbing mop lifts.

The twelve machines below are all vacuum and mop combinations sold on Amazon, because a mop-only robot is now a rare specialist and most homes want one machine for both jobs. They split into three honest groups. Flagships from Roborock, Dreame, ECOVACS, iRobot and Narwal wash and dry their own mops, refill their own tanks and empty their own bins, and differ mainly in how they scrub and how they treat carpet. Mid-range picks from eufy, Dreame and Shark keep the self-washing dock but trim suction or navigation. At the budget end, the Roomba 105 Combo keeps the self-emptying dock and a carpet-aware mop at a price that makes a first robot mop a reasonable experiment rather than a gamble.
